short motorcycle rant

While I was out walking the dogs this evening I saw something that really looks annoying to me: There was a couple riding around on a fast looking motorcycle. The guy who was driving was wearing a full set of riding leathers (jacket, pants, gloves, boots) and a helmet. The girl riding behind him was wearing a tank top, shorts, and flip flops. I realize you may want to show off your nice new motorcycle to your girlfriend, but doesn’t that show that you could care less about her if you were to get in an accident? Doesn’t this occur to her when invited to go for a ride with no protection (which could have more than one meaning depending on context I suppose).
