home

Got back home this morning around 2am. I like seeing friends and family and such, but it’s sure nice to be back in ones own home.
When we got in the door, the dogs were all wagging their tails and very excited to see their own yard and couches.
I’ll try and upload pictures and movies later tonight and recap my travels.
Hello from AZ

Well, had a lovely xmas in Los Alamos, then down to Tucson to work on my dad’s estate.
Bandwith is limited here, so pictures (of which I took a ton) and movies (of which I took a few) will have to wait until I get home.
Happy holidays everyone. Hope all is going nicely.
slacking again

Haven’t updated in a while for some reason.
This weekend was pretty delightfull. Saturday was the cocktail party I had here. There was a nice turnout and good conversation and food. The party broke up around 1:30am or so. Sunday was a day of slacking and relaxing and eating far too much leftovers from the party. Monday we had a company dinner gathering up in loveland which was nice.
Tonight might be wine making (not 100% sure we are scheduled), thursday will be Hackingsociety up in boulder, perhaps friday I can get up to the Walnut and sample this years Barleywine. It’s good stuff.
Saturday I will probibly be heading down to Los Alamos to spend xmas with some friends, then monday off to Tucson to finish up (hopefully) the last bits on my dad’s estate. Fun times.

A rare occurance today… all 3 dogs on the same couch at the same time:
Got an interesting picture of the moonrise over my back yard (I thought). Looks kinda embossed due to the flash…

I was out walking the pups today and saw that the sun angle was creating some interesting shadows, so I took a few pictures.
I think they turned out pretty interesting:

Here’s a few more pictures.
The tennis court we walk by just says “no” now:
Ah, the christmas spirit is alive and well. Pretty lights, a nice wire figure, a chain and padlock to keep people from stealing it.
These trees were lit from the setting sun. Very pretty and stark:
And a pretty twyla picture:

Today it’s supposed to get up to the 40′s for a high! Heat wave! :0)
So, why is it so cold in the house? The heater is on?
Oh. Someone is blocking the vent:
It was nice enough for a bit of yard zooming the other day:
There was a nice sunset yesterday:
But overall, it’s a good time to stay in and stay warm:

We had a nice bit of snow the other day. It was very pretty coming down… Then yesterday and today it was not at all warm.
It’s currently about -5F outside. Sub-baulmy.
Here’s some pictures from the snow day yesterday:
Both the cat and dogs were relaxing in where it was warm:

dogs and wind

Here’s a few pictures of the dogs from the last few days:
Merlin has taken to sleeping on the couch next to me… it’s just impossible to resist petting that tummy when he is there:
Twyla knows how to relax on the couch still as well:
It was very very very windy here today. We got up to 60mph gusts (possibly more). They were saying they got up to 90mph gusts up in boulder today.
My neighbors water main decided to explode eariler. I heard the fountain of water when I went to let the dogs out in the yard. Not sure how long it had been fountaining, but I turned it off and left them a note on their door. It looked like it was draining into the basement, but not sure how much got in there.
(I didn’t think to get a picture…)
I did run accross a bunch of fence that was down due to the winds though:
