Overall a good weekend.

• Good: Hero was quite good.
• Bad: Hero wouldn’t play in my computer dvd player, so I had to use the playstation 2 to play it.
• Good: I also liked Howl’s moving castle quite a bit
• Good: got a few things done around the house. All the usual cleaning, laundry, putting out the trash.
• Bad: didn’t get any of the other things around the house I was hoping to get to. Like: upgrading computers, getting the sprinkler system working in the back, putting the older fridge up on craigslist, etc.
• Good: J’s b-day and housewarming was quite fun saturday night. The bellydancer his mom sent was amusing, and lots of good people and food and drink.
• Bad: I ate pretty badly this weekend diet wise. Tons of cheese and other yummy but bad for me things saturday, sunday I had pizza and later made some (Non fat!) brownies.
• Good: the greyhound bowling was fun. Nice to see another glimpse of T and Z. I had a nice time.
• Bad: I suck at bowling, my 3 games were 63, 93, and 107. Still, it’s fun and I bet I would get better if I went more than once every 10 years.

Will try and put up pictures from all the various events this weekend tomorrow sometime.

Busy week here, so I was a slacker on posting anything.

I was meaning to try and invite some folks over for a movie night tonight, but I didn’t send out any invites, so I guess It will just be me and the pups watching movies and relaxing.

Off to make some lovely hot indian food for dinner.

Pretty productive sunday so far. Had a long phone conference with my brother and sisters.
Walked the pups. Cleaned up the yard. Started laundry. Got some more geeking done.
Raked the front yard and pruned the rose bushes and got about 1 large trash can full of stuff cut up.
Not bad.

(I could go take a after picture, but oh well).

The show last night was great. Nice mix of old fav’s and a few new things thrown in.

Will be heading up to Lyons in a bit here. I have heard that Oskar Blues is a great venue, but have never been there.
We will see. Going to have dinner up there too.

Didn’t get much if any yard work done today, so hopefully I can motivate to do that tomorrow.
I did however work on some fedora extras packages and catch up on a lot of geeking, which was nice.

Lots of potential fun this weekend.

One of the best live bands in the universe is going to be in town.

The Asylum Street Spankers are playing down in denver tonight, and up in Lyons tomorrow night. Not 100% sure I will make both shows, but I just might.

Also, I got my apple tree and front yard all trimmed, so that means I need to make some effort to get the grass back on track, and
refill the bark bits on the top and such. I am no good at yard work, but I’m gonna try and get a bunch done this weekend anyhow.

Of course there is also always movie watching and video game playing now that I have the projector all setup and happy.

I decided I was tired of my old 21″ mac monitor for watching movies, so I broke down and ordered a LCD projector.

There are about 10,000 projectors out there, so it wasn’t easy to find a nice one. Finally I just went with the plan of getting one that people I know already had and liked. Ended up ordering a
Infocus X3

Reasonably priced, bright, reccomended and 1024×768.

It showed up on tuesday, and I got it all setup. It’s quite nice.
I will have to have a movie night soon!

Twyla just went up to CSU today for her 4th chemo treatment. She went in to my vet down here yesterday for a blood test, and her WBC (white blood cell) count was pretty low, but still within the limits the said for doing the chemo, so up we went today.

They re-ran the blood tests today and it looked ok, so they gave her the chemo.

Only 2 more to go…

Well, almost well again now. Still have the pesky cough from the flu I had, but everything else has gone away.
Hopefully the cough is soon to follow.

Well, not much in the way of posts recently. Spent last week trying to avoid this flu/cold that was trying to take hold of me, and as of friday: I failed. I hate being sick. Guess I get to spend the weekend sleeping and coughing.

Taking the dogs for their walk on friday about wiped me out… they probibly won’t get a walk today.

Last saturday the Lovely S and her pup Dazzle came by for a vist/walk. They are both very nice and I hope I see more of them.
Dazzle sure has a lot of energy (she’s only 2):
