Kevin's musings

Two little things hit me particularly hard this evening:

• When trying to decide what to make for dinner, I thought about one of my fav’s: Blackened shrimp with pasta. It’s pretty quick and easy and very tasty. Then I remembered the best part was making extra Linguini and feeding it to Twyla after dinner. She loved pasta. She would stand there wagging her tail as I handed out each strand.
• When loading the dishwasher, Twyla was always the “pre rince” cycle. She would happily lick plates and silverware as they were put in the dishwasher.

I miss her so…

Both the boys are jumpy today and hanging out upstairs most of the time.
Neither one of them ate any breakfast either. They know Twyla is gone for sure…

Just when I think I have everything under control, I go reading the thread on the greytalk forum
remembering Twyla and get all weepy again. ;(

I am going to try and go out to the Faire this coming weekend with Kurt and Merlin.
I think it will do both them and me some good to be around friends and hounds…
