Firewall woes today. For the last few days my firewall has been unhappy. The drive is headed into a deep dark well from witch nothing (especially data) can escape. It's pretty amazing to me that even with the drive issues, Linux kept plugging along. Even when I couldn't login to the machine and it was spewing errors a dozen a second to the screen, all the rest of my machines were happy behind it accepting their little network packets happily. Finally it managed to totally die eariler today, at which time I installed Fedora Core 3 onto an old 10GB drive, setup the config, swapped the new drive into the old machine, and was back up in about 20minutes. Try that with a windows install!
